Usenet Permanent Record

There is the old saying that, when doing some wrong, "it will go down on your permanent record". Last night I found that google has a profiling system that amounts to my Usenet Permanent Record. From Dec 1996 to Aug 1998 I made over 2000 posts, mostly offering assistance to any who would ask on the wonderfully new javascript.

It is almost surreal to look back and see myself over a decade ago, especially as I was inclined to engage in debates concerning the nature of proprietary extensions to HTML. I also was at a much different place programming-wise (and the client-side experience was a different animal too).

This'll just serve to act as a reminder that everything said and done online has the potential to be saved for posterity.
